About Stacey

About Me as a Person

If you plan to share your stories with me, it's only fair that I tell you a bit about myself too.

I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, moved to B.C for a while, and then landed here, somewhere in the middle. I am the youngest and coolest sibling. I have a cat named Cricket (she's small and she chirps). I enjoy yoga (especially shavasana), travelling, video games, art, poetry, reading, walking, music (right now I'm learning the accordion and how to DJ (not at the same time - concurrently, but separately)), animals, and using brackets in my writing to communicate separate but related thoughts (nobody can stop me).

About Me As a Therapist

My theoretical foundation is Narrative Therapy because I'm obsessed with a good story. I love learning about the real things people do every day, the little and big ways in which we demonstrate our values, express ourselves, make mistakes, learn, grow, and how we make sense of it all.

Throughout all of my work I maintain a trauma-informed, feminist, and strengths-based lens with a focus on relational well-being. I am also sex-worker friendly, sex positive, ENM-aware, and 2SLGBTQIA+ aligned (and am, myself, under that umbrella).

My topics of interest include, but are not limited to, grief (particularly pet loss), trauma, relationships (family, friends, romantic, sexual, self), sexuality, gender, substance use/misuse/addiction, and neurodivergence. While these are what I have more experience in, I accept clients experiencing a wide range of issues not listed here too and encourage you to reach out if you think we may be a good fit!
